Brett stared at the hand Stu was holding out to him. What he’d said was true. He did trust Stuart, and although he’d claimed he could find someone else to do this with, he really couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else. His stomach churned with what felt like a kaleidoscope of butterflies and his hands were clammy.
Rubbing his palms down his thighs, he took the offered hand and let Stu haul him to his feet. He got an encouraging grin before Stu led him down the hallway to his room.
Brett paused just inside the doorway, his heart racing and his mouth dry. He didn’t think he’d been this nervous when he’d lost his virginity at sixteen. He tracked Stu’s movements around the room as he flicked on one of the bedside lamps before shooing the cats out and pulling the covers back on the bed.
“You okay?” Stu asked as he came back to stand in front of him.
Brett nodded and, gathering his wits about him, walked further into the room. Stu gave him a smile before leaning past him to push the door closed. The click of the main light switch being flicked off sounded loudly before everything was bathed in the warm, muted glow of the bedside lamp.
Firm lips pressed against his throat as Stu stepped closer into his body. “Relax, B. This is your show. Just do what feels comfortable, okay?”
“O-okay.” Resting his palms on Stu’s hips, he caught Stu’s mouth in a kiss, taking his time to savour the taste as his thumbs sought out the soft skin above the waistband of the sweatpants his best friend wore.
Warm hands slid around his neck before strong fingers were threading through his hair, pulling slightly. A tendril of desire snaked down his spine to settle low in his groin, and he tugged Stu as close as he could. Another jolt of heat went through him as he felt an answering hardness press against his thigh.
A small moan escaped him as Stu pulled his mouth away. “This will be more comfortable on the bed,” Stu told him, and Brett let himself be led the short distance across the room. A tug on the hem of his t-shirt had him raising his arms, allowing it to be pulled over his head. Once his shirt was off, Stu removed his own and then moved onto the bed.
Brett took in the sight before him. The light from the lamp highlighted the dips and curves of Stu’s chest and abs. He wasn’t as chiselled as Brett was, but there was some definition there, along with a smattering of fine blond hairs. His gaze dropped further to the tented sweatpants. His skin heated with a blush as he quickly averted his eyes only to find Stu watching him with a small smile.
“Come here,” Stu said, reaching out his hand.
Brett climbed onto the bed, the mattress dipping under his weight as he slid down so they were face to face. Goosebumps raced along his skin as Stu gently ran a hand down his shoulder and across his chest.
